It is turn of the A7 sedan to receive the RS treatment. This customization comes together with the 30-years celebration of Audi Quattro. For this new supercar, the manufacturer with the four rings has decided to combine the RS 6 data sheet and the sophisticated curves of A7, giving the final touch to the superb sport car.

Audi RS7: lines that recall the A7 Sportback sedan

If the A7 curves demonstrate a real aesthetic taste of the German manufacturer, those of Audi RS 7 are even more accomplished. Thus, the supercar displays a more aggressive line that stands out on its front panel that is more imposing and its huge grid of enhanced Audi Quattro is a tribute to 30 years of the model. Its uncluttered design denotes a desired dynamism and, in general, the model has a luxurious look. The headlights have futuristic lines and wheel arches are filled with "Pirelli" tires mounted on 20-inch wheels. At the rear, the RS range style is recognized thanks to the huge exhaust and the logo of the brand with the four rings.

Passengers prefer sobriety. One finds the same classic chic style of A6 and A7 with noble materials such as suede and leather with a sophisticated finishing. The ceiling is designed in minimalist fashion as well as leather seats wrap that shows no frills. The wheelbase has its square shape, which allows a better grip.

Among the new features offered in this Audi RS 7, we find all the upscale amenities such as head-up display, cruise control, using the night vision and the "Bang & Olufsen" sound system that offers a good atmosphere in the cabin of the supercar.

Amazing performance

Audi RS 7 certainly displays sleek lines, but it also features a powerful engine that provides the driver with a beautiful driving experience. Under the hood, we find a 4-liter V8 engine that develops 560 hp with the top speed of 305 km/h. The engine of Audi RS 7 is connected to eight-speed automatic transmission, Tiptronic and develops 700 Nm of torque at 1750 r/min, which easily allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.

RS version of A7 allows a driver to switch modes of driving. At the first rumble of engine, it is almost intimidating. The ability to shift gears in combined driving with rapid acceleration makes it a real beast of bitumen. Although its size and weight are meant to be imposing, it promises a good footing.

The air suspension is perfect for drivers looking for a certain level of comfort. The adaptive suspension, with the role of regulating chassis depending on shift, braking and speed, is more appropriate for drivers enjoying sports lines.

It is not only the performance and characteristics of the A7 that were reviewed in this sport version. Besides the elaborate structure of the supercar, we notice appearance of advanced technologies such as cylinder deactivation system which has reduced consumption by nearly 5% during regular driving and 12% in urban areas. We should note that the cylinder deactivation is done automatically without the driver noticing.

Audi RS 7 involves the features of the RS range and some details borrowed from A6 and A7. With this beautiful sport sedan, the manufacturer from Ingolstadt confirms its leading position in the car industry. It should be noted that the supercar will be available on the Canadian market in late October 2013. As for the price, the German company has not confirmed it yet, but according to the rumors RS 7 is offered in the same price range as the RS range, so, between $115,000 and $120,000.
