The Porsche 911 is one of those iconic cars that revolutionized in the automobile industry sector. It will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the Auto Show in Frankfurt, which will be held in September. To mark the event, the German brand has created a special edition of Porsche 911 devoted to its 50 years, called "50th Anniversary Edition". Production is limited to 1963 copies, in reference to the year when the legendary Porsche 911 was created. This new version of the iconic model is mainly based on the lines of the Carrera and is rated at 400 hp combined with two-wheel drive and a 7-speed manual transmission.

Porsche builds on the chic details of the Porsche 911 50

The general line of this limited edition recalls the Carrera S. However, the German brand has chosen to focus on all the details to differentiate this model from its predecessors. Thus, the "50th Anniversary Edition " is available in three shades of muted colours including solid black, plain gray and graphite gray metallic geyser. Each model has a two-tone monogram "911 50" stamped on the carbody.

The distinguishing features of the 911 anniversary model are 20 rims with sticks dyed in black inward and polished facades. One also notices the "Fuchs" design on all four wheels, recalling the model 911 S. The front air intakes, rear cover and the panel between the lights have chrome inserts, which give a moderate and chic look. This luxurious touch is also evident on the frame side of windows and aluminum exterior mirrors, which underline the sport features.

Inside, we find the same spirit of elegance mixed with undeniable comfort. The doorsills are made of aluminum, the headrests and the tachometer also display the monogram of the brand. To pay tribute to the legendary original 911, the brand has chosen to make dials with green numerals and white hands, and use silver caps above the dial plates.

The sport seats offer more than 14 positions and Sport ones, which are optional, totally making 18. The seats, upholstered with black leather, are accented with a central strip of "Houndstooth" fabric. Finally, we note the presence of the model number on the trim strip panel that makes each edition of the Porsche 911 50 collectable.
