All roads lead to Paris?..

All roads lead to Paris?..

The ability to follow fashion trends is included in the unsinkable list of required skills of all those for whom the concept "fashion" has not an abstract, but applied, professional meaning.

However, the absence of the notorious intelligent look predictably leads to the same effect, and therefore we permit ourselves to draw our attention to the other side.

Or rather - to the different reference point, which deservedly has settled at the place where these very same trends if do not originate, then certainly - are tracked and predicted.

If exciting sense of foretaste has already aroused in your searching soul, you are welcome to further narration. If this has not happened, really, do not be upset: we hope that later it will be interesting any way.

To throw dry logs into blazed fire of the intrigue, we are talking about , let us sigh thoughtfully, enthusiastically take a dreamy look at the ceiling and admit that the best representatives of mankind  always had the attempt to get to the source since the very time when Caesar and Cleopatra sailed to the sources of the Nile.

Moreover, sometimes insatiable desire to find out "how things work" makes the child to disassemble the toy literally to the last screw, put all the "liberated" parts and ... And - have not understood anything.

However, everything is not so darkly in the noble work of penetration into various secrets and predictions. And the staff of Paris agency l'Observatoire has proved this in a remarkable way for many years. Or, to be more concrete –trendsetters of the Center of l'Observatoire trends analysis.

They began their work in 2002 as a small creative department.

They travel around the world, intently observe and put in a huge treasury their own experiences.

They monitor interesting young names.

They have a lot of thinking, and they love it as a process.

Twice a year they come together, share generously with each other accumulated knowledge, peeped, understood (and suddenly misunderstood?), analyze and solve it. What is it? A little patience.

And, perhaps most importantly, they are an integral part of Paris decor exhibition Maison & Objet, which is largely due to such cooperation, ceased to be an example of a typical commercial project and became a focal point for new ideas, creative designs and fashion trends.

Elizabeth Leriche, François Bernard and Vincent Gregoire became those characters, without which it is difficult to imagine any of the Salon Maison & Objet sessions.

No wonder, since they entered the cohort of talented followers of unattainable "lady from the Netherlands' Li Edelkoort, who opened the hunt for trends and regularly bringing into the audience, resonating with the mysteries of design, many weighty trophies from the hunt.

Patience, with a few exceptions, is usually rewarded. We will not break this tradition.

Trendsetters of  l'Observatoire, coming together in January and September, decide what will be the key points of future trends, which the next six months will be guided by"all interested parties" of a rapidly changing market.

Exhibition space, which has become an experimental area, does not cease to be generous in the results of experiments in which in different proportions, "young blood" of emerging designers and "compensatory component" of mastodons of style are mixed.

Principle, which is used by l'Observatoire stylists in their creative approach, is presented to inexperienced observer incredibly simple, however, as all genius.

Trends in decorative design display trends prevailing in the world. You just need to keep track of them and out of disparate data, details and finishing touches to create a complete picture.

Only.

Hence, perhaps, laconic titles result from, which l'Observatoire ideological inspirers use in their projects.

"Exotics", "Paradise", "Experiments", "Corporality " and actually " Simplicity".

Shaken (fertilized?) crisis of 2010 year breathed into the best minds and throbbing hearts theme, which can be translated as "Cohabitation" and delineate it with boundaries of the desire to be in the circle of like-minded people with whom you want (oh, how you want!) to share observations and impressions.

"It will be grinded - the flour will be", - let us add the cheerful Russian folklore in the refined Parisian exporeality and note that the year 2011, according to those same trendsetters, was concentrated in the irrepressible human desire, fertilized with crisis, to differ from our own kind.

How?

And finally, let us remember all those who in 2012 prepared to the end of the world. Your selfless expectations were not in vain - in January, when at all spaces of Maison & Objet habitually noisy and colorful variety reigned, l'Observatoire stylists seriously talked about madness.

Subject Crazy, if particularities of translation did not catch us, with a light hand of trendsetters, seeks to convey the idea that the violence of our wounded imagination needs a calming influence of elegant humor and subtle irony. And, quite possibly, a few sips of spicy cocktail will be able to catalyze the mysterious process of self-expression.

And then "your own home will become your home", filled with unexpected contrasts and turned into a tangible embodiment of relaxedness and internal determination of the owner.

What trends will appear in the year 2013?

For the answer, we will certainly go to the capital of France, where according to the tradition from the 6th to the 10th of September MAISON & OBJET will be held.
